WP Your Tube
WP Your Tube is my first plugin and the inspiration for the creation of which came from two excellent articles:
The Motivation:
Since I started in the world of WordPress that I called but attention is the huge amount of plugins available. I've always been curious about the development of plugins, but the scarcity of good materials in Portuguese was always on the road. That was until I read the article "Developing plugins for WordPress" blog of Rafael Dohms.
The Idea:
With a manual as well prepared and detailed in hand, it only lacked a sense to start developing a plugin, since thanks to the great community around WordPress, there are thousands of great plugins and the goal was not to be reinventing the wheel . This is where reading the article "How To Make Money With A Blog de Videos - O Metodo!" The blog Get Rich who had the idea to create the WP Your Tube.
With WP Your Tube you can turn your WordPress blog into a self-video or just create a new category on his blog with videos only related to the subject matter hereof, all automatically updated.
WP Your Tube uses the YouTube API for the supply of videos.
Requirements:
1 - PHP 5;
2 - Curl;
3 - WordPress 2.X.
Installation:
1 - Download Your Tube WP;
2 - Extract and copy the folder wp-SeuTube to the / plugins;
3 - Access the administrative module of your WordPress and on the "Plugins" search and activate the WP Your Tube;
4 - In the administrative module to access the Options> WP Your Tube "and select the options that best meets your needs, do not forget to save all changes made.
Use:
Your Tube WP runs automatically, but can also be performed manually implementation behind the "Run" button on your dashboard.
Note: As the YouTube API that provides the option to search by keyword is sorted by relevance, it is common to note the lack of updates as they will only be considered a new video when you come some other video of major importance. 1 - Bugs
1.1 - Inaccurate status "pending" causing not work;
1.2 - Changing the code to solve the problem of incompatibility with the plugin Embedify.
2 - Improvements
2.1 - Ability to set height and width of the videos published;
2.2 - Ability to define the colors of the player (Color: Light Gray "Standard", Dark Gray, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple and red);
2.3 - Option to view the player on edge.
